Types of Praise Dance

Praise Dance is one of the standards in the order of many church services today. Nowadays all praise dance incorporates different forms of dance such as jazz, modern, ballet, and hip hop. We should dance     according to our calling.
MIME PRAISE – We are expressing an idea in our action without saying any word. The movement is very specific to use in order to engage the audience in the story. Mime praise is done with the traditional white face paint and every dancer can create their own special facial expression.

HIP HOP PRAISE – Using hip hop and street dance moves to praise God.

RHYTHMIC PRAISE- Uses various accessories such as tambourines, ribbon, laurel, tabrets, flags, mantles, and streamers to perform various dances.

PROPHETIC PRAISE / WORSHIP -   Now you are ready to give your vessel to the Holy Spirit and allow the anointing to flow freely through you.

When we are in dancing for the Lord, we are dancing in a whole new world. The dancer, carrier of the “sights of God”; the musicians, the carrier of the “sounds of God”; and the preacher, the carrier of the Word of God. Every one of us have different talents, have different calling from God.

Should Christian Dance?

Many Christian nowadays love to dance and they have different reasons why they are dancing. But we need to keep in our minds that we, as Christians, are purpose why we dance is to thank Him and to glorify Him alone. Expressing our love to God by singing praise to Him or dancing for joy. Loving God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our strength is not an easy path.
Let’s point out some example of good and bad dancing and then let’s mention some biblical principles to build standards in dancing:
Exodus 32:6, 19-25—This is a disappointing part of Israel's history. While Moses was up on the mountain talking to God, the Israelites built an idol. In the process of the idol worship, they began to dance. This ended up in "revelry" (v. 6) and being "out of control" (v.25 says "naked" in some translations). In this case, dancing led to very sinful activity.
Exodus 15:20 (mentioned above), Miriam was dancing to celebrate the victory God's power had brought at the Red Sea.
2nd Samuel 6:12-16—David "danced before the Lord" to celebrate the Ark of the Covenant being brought back to Jerusalem.

Here are some more principles to keep in mind in considering dancing:
Ecclesiastes 3:4There is an appropriate time to dance (and by implication an inappropriate time to dance).
Psalm 149:3; 150:4—Both passages mention that we can praise or worship God through dance.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20—Our bodies belong to God, and they are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So everything we do must be honoring to Him.

In the end, there’s a lot of dancing that is inappropriate for believers who should be seeking to glorify God in their lives and especially with their body. Yet the Bible say that we can dance in a way that does not tempt others, does not tempt ourselves, and brings glory to God.

Several ways to serve God

We always desire to honor and represent God. He has communicated with us both through the -written and verbal word and the non-verbal word, body action-, in our dreams, and in every day of our life.

1.Worship God by Dancing

Many forms of Dance can be used to glorify God. And one of those is using Tambourine in Dancing. Dancing Tambourine is one way of expressing our love to GOD, Ssaying thank you for giving His life to everyone. We are called to be free to be all and do all that God desired for us.
Bible verses: Psalm 150:4 Praise him with tambourine and dancing; praise him with the strings and flute! Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.

2. Worship God through Prayer

Praying is our onethe ultimate way of communicating to our God, . We always thank Him for the things that He done for us, for protecting us, for giving us the knowledge, for to overcome all the trials, circumstances, problems that we encounter in our personal life. Praying is talking to God, and this is effective way to have a good relationship with Him, and we also build our faith.

Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 14:15-17 so what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. 16 Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer,[a] say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying? 17You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified.

3. Worship God through Instrument

God gave us different talents. Some of them us know how to play different kinds of instrument. Some Christians play instrument to glorify God, that you allowing God to manifest in your life, and to build relationship with Him.

Bible verse: Psalm 33:2, 3 says 2 Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
